Hi Robert, We run into similar problems often. The most common cures are to disable everything in your energy saver system preference i.e. set sleep to never and hard disk spin down to never. Don?t let your screen go to sleep either. Also, screen effects needs to be set to never as well.
If that doesn?t cure your problem, switch to Apple branded DVD-Rs as well. It's an 18 minute movie with about 170 clips, and I got it all into iDVD program OK. Here's the problem, and I hope someone can help me (iDVD help is a joke): It gets to step 4, matrixing (?) and burning and gets stuck there. It ran for 8 hours last night stuck on step 4. I'm using the latest iLife versions, OS 10.3, and a G5. Naturally, it's a project that I have spent about 30 hours on and I have to have it done now! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. If you are reading this after 5 pm today, please reply offline, as I get the digest version and I can't waste another day (I promise to share everything with the list). Thanks.
