to clean the mighty mouse, turn it upside down and use a damp lint  
free cloth (barely moist).
run it vigorously back and forth other the ball in long continuous  
strokes. this will dislodge any gunk that makes it's way in there.
i have to do this every month or so to keep the thing working properly.
