How is the shape of the power plug? My daughter used her ibook on her bed all the time, and the non-solid surface would finally bend the plug that goes into the computer. It caused the center prong to break off. The plug would still slide in, but no juice was flowing. We also ended up purchasing a new battery for hers when nothing else worked. (and kept it off the bed!) Good luck, Bill Micou
