Ed, you are absolutely right. I made a special trip yesterday to the Genius Bar at the Apple store. Deleting podcasts and songs is not working with the finger delete. You have to do it while connected to iTunes. So whoever said it was possible must have had something else in mind. I shall give it a try today when connected to see how things go. I really don't want to delete, I just want to know how- in case. But I am crazy anyway and I do love that state of being! Marta
