Ann,

I have been waiting for someone else to jump on this for I don't have
any definitive answer. I can't help but think a USB 2 printer would
really struggle with a USB 1 hub, much like the Kennedy bridge.

Also you bring up a good question. Will the USB 2 port on the Airport
Extreme assign an IP address to just ONE item, or if you have several
on a hub will it assign a separate IP to all of them. I don't know
how Apple has it configured but I bet Ward or Lee could answer this.
If it turns out that only one IP per port then you may need to get an
Airport Express for the second printer.

Why the Cannon won't work with the Base Station I don't know unless
you have one of the old (silver looking) Airport Extreme's that may
have been USB 1????
