This may have come up before, but here it is anyway.

When I opened iTunes today, for no apparent reason, the music library,
podcasts, folders, etc. were all gone. I tried importing the iTunes folder
(from Music) and the xtml file, but I got only a fraction of the files
restored. I had over 7,000 files in there! The actual mp3s are still on
the drive. The drive has plenty of room on it. Luckily, I had everything
backed up on Mozy, but that will take days to download the 54gs. I checked
all of the usual resources such as the Apple support area, macfixit, etc.
and found lots of folks with a similar issue but none of the recommended
fixes worked. I performed a repair permissions.

I really want to restore all of the folders, too, with their original
contents. What files that I backed up go where? How can I prevent this from
happening again?

I am running 10.5.1 and the latest iTunes on my G5 duo.

Coincidentally, I was unable to get Disk Warrior or the Leopard install disk
to boot up by pressing and holding the C key during startup. That is still
supposed to work in 10.5, per the apple.com/support posts.

Any help will be appreciated very much.

Thanks,

Robert
