At midnight on February 17, 2009, all full-power television stations in
the United States will stop broadcasting in analog and switch to 100%
digital broadcasting. Digital broadcasting promises to provide a clearer
picture and more programming options and will free up airwaves for use
by emergency responders.

If you do not have a television with a digital tuner you will need a
converter box. Big Brother is giving away coupons for about 40% off the
price of the converter boxes. Each household is elegible to receive 2 coupons.

You can apply for the coupons and find more info about the issue at:

A question for those of you who know.

After the switch to digital will there be new station numbers or will we
still tune to, for example, Channel 3 to get NBC?

Thanks.

Harry
