slide the two plastic tabs located in the upper row of the keyboard forward. "carefully" flip the keyboard forward. if that doesn't release the keyboard, there may be a screw next to the num lock that is locked. turn it 1/2 turn to release the keyboard. you should be able to dry the keyboard without removing the ribbon connector. be "very" careful should you choose to un-attach the ribbon wire. best...jf
