I was glad when this came out, because it's free, whereas tubesock costs $. not that I'm against paying developers for software, because i certainly believe in supporting mac developers, but I rarely download youtube videos and couldn't justify the purchase. TubeTV worked great for my needs.
also, on the subject of mac developers, i highly encourage you to check out iBank 3 for your finance tracking needs: http://www.iggsoftware.com/ibank/index.php this version is leaps and bounds better than the last one, and replaced quicken on my machine. granted, it may not be perfect for everyone, but it works great for me, and looks great too.
