my needs are most minimal, connect (1) macbook to the internet and plug in my speakers.

the airport express latest 11.n worked great for 10 days, then kapuut. airport utility says no 'wireless devices detected', nor is it detected in network diagnostics. any thoughts are appreciated. airport works fine as i can see my neighbor(s) networks.

bought the linksys wireless-g as temporary replacement until i can call apple for a replacement. can't get it configured either :) best...jf

Jerry,

Won't help now and I did say that I had problems with the Airport
Expresses but I have had the Airport Extreme's since they were
introduced, when they were the silver spaceship, then I went to the
white spaceship, had three of them, two networks at the residence and
one at the office, now I have three of the latest 11.n Extremes. I
have not had one bit of problems with any of them, ever. This covers
seven of the extremes over many many years. Never any problem
setting them up either, not one wit, but they may not be
sophisticated enough for your needs.

trying to setup a linksys wireless-g 2.4 Ghz router.

connected via direct ethernet logged in at http://192.168.1.1, and
configured with a consistent admin, network 'name'. and 'password'.

in airport, the (locked) network 'name' is available, which may
indicate i set up admin correctly :)

upon selection, dialog box reads, the network "name" requires a WPA
password. i enter said 'password', returns: 'invalid'.

i have triple checked the settings, any wisdom?
