well, as I said, the wife and I are planning on buying iPhones in Dec/ 
Jan so we really have no need of an iPod Touch.
I figure that the student discount will still be applicable.

I'm really hoping for a MBP update on or before Sept. 16.
If i haven't heard anything by then, either a release or a date of an  
Apple "event", then I will probably bite the bullet and get the  
current model.
