I don't know what I've been doing wrong. I have a Lynksys (D-Link) DSL
wireless router (bought it last spring (2007). I even paid a bundle to
have a so-called Mac expert from Comp USA to come out to hook it up. He
spent a lot of time and said that was all he could do... it still
doesn't work. But I was charged, of course, for his time and the
D-Link! Bummer!!!!
My daughter has two computers (a laptop Mac and a regular Mac) out in
my studio. That building is in my back yard and only about 15-20 feet
from the house (or about 20-30 feet from my main computer). The
electricity and the phone are on the same lines (same number) as in the
house. Neither ATT&T nor Insight say they can get me service out there
without a separate server and modum... a second whole account, in other
words. That is out of the question with my budget.
The electricity and phone lines go out to the studio through an
underground conduit. Is there any way anyone knows what my problem
and/or solution may be? You can respond to me on this listserve or at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Or, I would be delighted to hear any ideas from
members at my home phone number, (502)583-2057.

Hi All --
You all recently helped me with advice on a bluetooth mouse for my
new macbook. I received several responses with the majority
recommending the Apple mighty mouse. I purchased the Apple MM and
it's great. Thanks so much.
Now I have another request. My parents have AT&T DSL Lite connected
to a Mac mini running 10.4.x. They are interested in getting a
wireless router. Are they difficult to set up with DSL? I've set up a
couple of wireless routers with Insight, but not DSL. Also, the
router I'm thinking of getting them is a Linksys WRT54GS, which is
older technology. I figure that they don't need the newer stuff since
they're using a slow connection anyway and we could save some money.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
