Right as has been suggested it is asking for the original purchasers
iTunes account # for DRM music in iTunes.

If there are already four computers authorized on her account then you
can not listen to DRM music from iTunes unless She deauthorizes one of
her computers that is on her account.

Now the best way to share iTunes libraries across computers and iPhones
is Simplify Media.

Works like a charm.

Subject: [MacGroup] Shared iTunes library

Holiday greetings, all!

Okay, what gives? A colleague here at school and I both have set prefs
to share our libraries on the network, I can't listen to anything she
purchased from iTunes! When I click to listen to a particular song, I
get the message that my computer isn't authorized, and then a window
comes up where I put in my aol user name & password, which I use to
authorize songs purchased from iTunes, and it comes back with a message
that says the computer is already authorized & can authorize up to 4
more. But then when I click on the song again, the same original error
message pops back up, but I can never manage to listen to anything in
her playlist purchased from iTunes...

2nd question: Lee, is there some special preference I need to set in
order to read the digest postings that get pushed from my gmail account
to my iPhone, or is that something you have to set?

Happy Holly-daze, one & all!

Cathy
