I've been a happy user of TiVo since 2004, but my unit just died on
me. I'm trying to decide whether to go with a new TiVo, or look at any
other options. I have not tried AppleTV, but understand that it is
somewhat limited.

In a perfect world, I would have the ease of TiVo and it's programming
menus, a way to record on one DVR/TV setup, but watch on a second DVR/
TV setup and vice versa. Downloading movies would also be nice, as the
need for another clunky DVD player component might vanish.

Maybe there are other options out there??? Right now my second TV has
an InsightBB DVR box attached to it and it is terrible. I understand I
can get Insight to install a card into a new TiVo and then I don't
need their box???

Any thoughts from any happy/unhappy TiVo or Apple TV users?

Thanks!
