Marta:

When you purchase property, check the survey, as it will show the utility easements on your land. On the land designated as an easement, you can plant anything you want, but within the easement, the utility companies have the option of walking thru you flower bed or cutting down your trees. That is just the way it is, so don't complain.

When buying property, if you don't get a survey, ask for one. Also, in checking the old deed, you might find one registered in the court house.

Oh yes, it was AT&T, a man from AT&T had canvassed the area before and told me they were considering new services for all Louisville. I tried to find a Louisville office, but could not. Then this truck arrived, one person came to the door from AT&T to clear up the branches which were in the way, the new service was coming.

They knew not what they were doing, and when i challenged them and asked for a number to call and why they only came to my house and not others, when they then took off leaving truck marks on the side of the road in their hurry, then I realized they had probably missed the house and had an installation somewhere else. My efforts to find out what happened were fruitless, so I joined with all those who had reservations when AT&T was singled out to do the iPhone.
