I met Jerry Ethington in the early 80's at a DEC computer convention in St. Louis. He was an engaging conversationalist, had a good sense of humor, and was very generous with his knowledge. I remember he was driving an unusual, perhaps antique station wagon.
It was good to see him a few years ago after I bought my first Mac. He seemed to have become as much a guru on Mac's as on the old DEC's. Really sorry to hear of his death. He was a great guy.
