MLB checks your location when you log in, and you don’t  have to go far to get 
out of a team's blackout area. The Reds aren't blocked in D.C., but the 
Nationals most certainly are. Then we visit the grandmas in northern Michigan 
and eastern Oregon, nothing is blocked because there are no teams nearby.

The most frustrating time is when the Reds aren't on cable locally, but the 
system is so stupid as to to block the video.

MLB.com is the largest subscription streaming service in the world, so I 
predict that in a few years there will be no more blocking because it's getting 
big enough to cut deals with the local cable systems.
