Wendi, just select one of your other "Outgoing" servers for this new account.
Sending email doesn't have to go through the same server as the one you use for
receiving email. If it's a desktop computer use the SMTP (outgoing) server that
was given to you by your ISP and forget about it. If it is on a laptop that you
run around with a lot you need to use an SMTP server that allows you to use a
name and password with. MobileMe and GMail are two that do and so allow you to
send from almost anywhere you have a connection.

I have no idea what Internet Exploder has to do with email. He MIGHT have meant
(if he had a clue) to suggest that you use OutLook Express (which WAS an email
program), but that is ALSO way past its own end-of-life.

The only Microsoft email client currently in use is named Entourage and comes
as part of Microsoft's Office for Mac. The next version of Office for Mac
(2011, I think) will have a program called Outlook that is supposed to reflect
the feature set of the Windows version of a program called Outlook that is most
often found on PCs in business.

One of these days everyone will be using Macs and all these Windows-only idiots
will be nearly unemployable. Hope they're practicing their
"do-you-want-fries-with-that?" in front of the mirror every morning. They're
going to need that.
