Tom-
Just kidding- except about the Japs invading, and then just leaving
the Aleutians. Don't ever make the mistake of moving there unless our
are part bear.

Hi Neal:
The US already had Molokai before WWII. We r still removing shells
from Vietnam training though. Our beaches were good training for
amphibious.

As I recall, when I was in the navy in 1943, the top brass in Pearl
Harbor considered invading Molokai, but decided it wasn't worth the
trouble. Instead, they decided to re-take one of the Aleutian
Islands, that had been invaded by the Japs.
The trouble with that plan was that the Japs decided the Aleutians
were not worth the trouble, and pulled out and went home. I was so
foggy that no one noticed they were gone, so we went on with the
invasion anyhow.
So the admirals were sorry they hadn't landed on Molokai instead,
since it was a lot closer.
I have a lot of good war stories like this, but I am getting old,
and my memory is fading somewhat.

Tom you have piqued my interest. Where in the world is the small

literally how do you know of this listserve?
Thanks for your help. Oh one other question who makes the speck case?
