Harry I know what you mean. As soon as I bought the iPad my syncing went nuts, I could NOT get it to work, and I have spent hours trying to figure it out. Finally I did like you, I had to reboot everything, had to eliminate my account that I had set up through my mail, and THEN add MobileMe, which automatically which creates that account when you put in your logon and password. Now when I look at the list of accounts I have the aye.net accounts (3), and the Insight accounts (3), and now instead of "[email protected] (which is what I had set up) that was deleted and I had to click on "add account" and then choose MobileMe from a list of 5 or so. Once I did that on the iPad and the computers and REBOOT it has all worked as it should.
Once you set up the MobileMe you then have to configure it to say what you want synced, they have slider bars that you turn on or off for mail, calendar, bookmarks, notes, dashboard, etc. etc. Knowing which end of the stethoscope to put in your ear sure makes a difference.
