Marta if you have AT&T service which you do with your iPhone you have the WiFi free where ever there is a AT&T hot spot example McDonalds. Now one thing that the Verizon iPhone will not be good far is it uses a CDMA cell radio which is not supported by European Cell phone networks. An since you travel overseas some this could be an issue. It will be June before the iPhone 5 will come out. So the decision would be to purchase now or wait.

It should beat what AT&T has to offer, although not having the newest iPhone I cannot tell how well the new network might do.
