Ed, we don't travel anymore at all, actually, I lay in bed for about a
year. My arms won't sustain to hold on to a wheel, so driving is out.
Dayton is not allowed from the doctor to drive. I cannot, have not
been able to go to the Apple store. That alone has grieved me greatly.
I used to walk in and holler from the door :I am here, bring out my
chair and set me up!" Little Tarc 3 would take me there, but it is too
far to walk through Macy's unless they have a cart there. The hot
spots are no good for me, I neither make it to McDonalds nor to the
coffee places unless some good soul take me. I would need connections
in hospitals and doctor's offices, that is the only places I do get
to , and my husband would need it in the DC area. The wifi you "carry
with you" is really what I need. Here at home I am just fine .

Marta if you have AT&T service which you do with your iPhone you
have the WiFi free where ever there is a AT&T hot spot example
McDonalds.
Now one thing that the Verizon iPhone will not be good far is it
uses a CDMA cell radio which is not supported by European Cell phone
networks.
An since you travel overseas some this could be an issue. It will be
June before the iPhone 5 will come out. So the decision would be to
purchase now or wait.

You know, the "wi-fi wherever you go" does sound great with me, even
if I only go as far as the hospital or the doctor's office. It
should beat what AT&T has to offer, although not having the newest
iPhone I cannot tell how well the new network might do.
Can 't one, even now , add wi-fi to one 's AT&T phone, a month at
a time , or do I have that confused with the computer capability? ----

And this is odder. Both of your links were not clickable,( in my
iBook and my old iMac ) but in the email John sent, ( where it
said : on Wed ........ derbywiz wrote etc) your link clicked.
It also clicked in my iPhone .
Your link also clicked in my MBP.
I reasoned that it did not click in two computers which still use
Tiger, but then, why clickable in a response from John in the
thread? Even in these computers?
Where is Lee or some other guru to explain this phenomenon?
