Ed, This is like Washington crossing the Delaware. Lee is right on the fact that you can get all these channels without a box. Right now I have 4 T.V.'s in the home, two are on Insight cable boxes, two are on coax. Since they are all the newer models they have tuners so as Insight has been bombarding us with mail upon mail to test our sets to be sure they won't need their little black boxes. I do the "scanning" of the channels every couple weeks to pick up the newly converted stations to digital and sure enough they are picked up by the TV's without the Insight box.
Would this not be what will happen with HDhomerun box? It would connect to coax and then you would run the scan and pick up the stations Lee sent in his list and others that are added. Are you saying that when Insight goes fully digital our T.V.'s will not work? This seem to be what Insight is trying to bring to our attention, check to be sure they will work without the box, and they do. I had an Insight guy on the phone one night and he told me that as long as I could get the listing of the channels on 8-14 then I am completely ready for their digital network. If so, then the HDhomeroun box should work?
