j.: My point was that speed is not always paramount. Our internet connection
is plenty fast enough for what we need (even streaming to our AppleTV 2.0) and
our TV/DVR experience is significantly more pleasant than we had with Insight,
so I don't care if it costs me more (which with bundling and promotions, it
actually doesn't!). The warm-fuzzy feeling we have with U-verse is worth more
to me than the poke-a-sharp-stick-in-the-eye experience we had with Insight.
Just like the sweet feeling I have using a Mac is worth paying more for not
having to endure the Windows experience, even though I could have spent less
for a much faster machine.

The bottom line is this: If you're happy with Insight, stay with them; but if
you're disgusted with Insight (as Jane said she was), then U-verse is well
worth serious consideration even if it costs a bit more.
