If you are using a bellsouth internet connection all out going mail must go 
thru their mail servers.
So set the mobile me account outgoing server to the bellsouth and all will work.
This is a security issues with bellsouth. Found this out years ago as my father 
in law uses a email address other that bellsouth and he uses my internet 
connection.

I'm using a Macbook Pro with snow leopard 10.6.8

I am using a 3rd party email program and have set up my mobile me email as a 
pop account within my email program.

I also have a bellsouth pop email account and my outgoing email server for both 
mail.bellsouth.net

Until recently I have not had any problems with sending or receiving email. 

Here's the problem. Often times my email isn't getting delivered. I sent an 
email to some friends a few days ago and they have not received it. 

I have sent email to other folks and they too, have not received my email.

Is anything going on with the change to iCloud and mobile me that would cause 
this to happen?
