Leave it to Lee to hit the nail on the head! That's actually a really good possibility for you.
Like the name says power line ethernet adapters send your network signal through your house electrical wiring, using adapters you plug into your outlets in two different parts of your house. It is, and it is not, as simple as that. Two things to consider: 1. Get the faster 200 Mbps ones, like most of the ones on this page: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_14?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=ethernet+over+power&sprefix=ethernet+over+%2Ccomputers%2C236 Slower (and cheaper) ones are available, but are too slow for many uses. (Best Buy may have some (they have in the past), if you want to go and see something in person.) 2. They sometimes don't work if there isn't a good connection between the different circuits of your electrical breaker box. That could be from one breaker to the next, or one side/phase and the other. If you're not familiar with house wiring, that'll mean nothing to you, but the bottom line is that it will likely work and it MAY not. If not, try it on different outlets to see if that solves it. If not, return them, and get another model or brand and try again. Wiring is best. Power line ethernet is next. Wifi range extenders is further down my list, due to the performance issues. j.
