I ran into this problem recently after I created a PowerPoint
presentation and then found out I couldn't burn it to a DVD. (I later
bought Keynote on iWork.)
But, I could convert the ppt file to a QuickTime movie.
Then I researched the problem online and ran into
http://www.joboshare.com/dvd-creator-mac.html
This is on sale right now for about $32.
It burned my DVD nicely, so my presentation could be seen on our TV.
(One thing I didn't check is whether QuickTime Pro would burn to DVD.
That may be another possibility.)
I'm still using 10.6.8, because I don't have the time to fuss with all
the problems of converting my Web design software, so I have no idea if
this would work with that system.

Can't complain, we used to use microfiche, then the large 5"
floppies, then the 3's, then CD's and DVD's so now we are

FinalCut X there is NO in depth DVD program. Yes there is a DVD
but it isn't as sophisticated as what we were used to with iDVD.
This is why those with the older version of FinalCut will never
want to get rid of it for inside that program there WAS a
fantastic DVD authoring program THAT CAN STILL BE USED WITH
FinalCut X.
This was the post I made a couple weeks ago, I couldn't load the
OLD FinalCut Pro from the disk, it continued to say the
installation FAILED. I was loading it ONLY for the DVD program.
I learned that indeed portions of the program did load, then
instead of failing the dialogue should have read, "to continue
your installation go to software update and complete the
installation", or something like that.
I didn't have the foggiest if anyone out there used any of these
but I thought it best to post just in case.
You seem to be current on Pages and Numbers.
