I should clarify my statement a bit. I am more interested in the availability of data on LTE when traveling than voice. It is my understanding that the Verizon iPhone 5 supports more of various LTE bands than the ATT version does. When traveling I usually pick up a cheap (GSM) phone for the limited voice calling I need and give it to one of the NGOs I work with when I leave.
