This may not be the best way, but one can convert any voice or music
tape to digital with the program Toast Titanium, using their extra
feature called Spin Doctor.
I have frequently recorded old tapes onto digital CD's using this
program, and there is no problem when using it, other than you convert
in real time. No speed ups.
I use an old Mac G5.
