Anne, Easiest way, go to the TimeMachine icon in the header of your screen, choose Enter Time Machine, the screen will morph into the land of far away. Use the scale on the right to go back in time to a date where you can find the mailbox. Highlight it and at the bottom of your screen click on "restore", the file will be place back where it belongs.
