it is called a hard drive dock, you can see an image at amazon with this link. http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-BlacX-eSATA-Docking-Station/dp/B001A4HAFS they are very handy for testing internal drives, w/o having to get an external case for each one. most can test both 2.5 and 3.5" internal drives. just plug in the drive, like you would a slice of bread in a toaster, and viola, you are connected. and can test the drive if that i your need.
