I’m encountering a block on older “purchases” from iTunes.  
The items are the iTunes “free” songs that were offered, and 
first authorized many years ago, as well as many updated 
systems ago.  My Apple ID is up-to-date.  

I am told from an error dialog that this computer is now not 
authorized to play the selected song(s).  I (re-)authorize the 
computer, and am then told the computer is still authorized.  
Try to play the song again, and get the same block.  

The old username is an old eMail account that has long-since 
been cancelled, and I don’t remember the pass associated with 
it to receive a ‘forgot password’ return eMail.  

Does anyone KNOW what is happening, and how to correct 
the blockage problem?
