Files are indeed AAC Audio files, but are also listed as “Protected…”.
Trying to convert any of them fails because of this.
The Apple page for iTunes Password/Security issues input/question 
( after [Continue…] )  freezes seemingly forever with the spinning 
gear.  No direct info within the [Help] or {FAQ] pages on this.
