I can't get Time Machine (Time Capsule) to open. All I get is the Connecting to
Server message box with Connecting to backup volume and the progress bar (that
isn't making any progress). and finally a message that the operation can't be
completed. An unexpected error occurred (error code -6584). And then another
message that says "Time Machine couldn't complete the backup to "Anne's Airport
Time Machine". The backup disk image "/Volumes/Anne Cartwright's Time
Caps-1/Macintosh.sparsebundle" is already in use."

I don't have any idea what is going on.

The Airport (Wi-Fi base station)seems to be working just fine. Internet
connection, remote printer.

I called AppleCare and of course while I was talking to them Time Machine came
unjust like it should and seems to work fine. Then this evening I got another
one of those windows saying "Time Machine couldn't complete the backup to
"Anne's Airport Time Machine". The backup disk image "/Volumes/Anne
Cartwright's Time Caps-1/Macintosh.sparsebundle" is already in use." However it
looks like Time Machine is working.

However.

I've hooked up another external HD, one that I use every so often to make a
back up and then disconnect from the system and electricity. (I worry about
lightening storms.) Just checked this backup and while it seems to be making
backups, I can't open anything. Get the following message "The folder
"Documents" can't be opened because you don't have permission to see its
contents."

The Airport (Wi-Fi base station)seems to be working just fine. Internet
connection, remote printer.

Any suggestions? Before I go crazy.
