You tube has some good tutorials on how to do this. I have set up her email as an imap account on her phone and on the new mac.
I have exported her emails from outlook on the pc and imported them into mail on the Mac. She is up and running and frustrated with the learning curve (using the trac pad) but she is doing stuff on the mac and will eventually get it down, probably sooner rather than later!
