A short while ago I wrote that Dropbox was hogging the resources on my Macbook
Pro, a Mini and the MacPro, even though the MacPro could still function the
other two were rendered almost unusable as there was nothing left for any other
program.

I upgraded to the latest version of Dropbox and I thought that cured the
problem, and it does for awhile. Watching processing activity the Dropbox will
increase to over 100%, on the Laptop it even causes the fans to kick in.

If I reboot and Dropbox then reduces to almost nothing but over time it again
become a total hog.

Don’t know why I am the only one having this problem but I had to go back to
Apple’s iCloud. Seems the problem I had before was not waiting for the file to
be fully copied until I closed the iCloud window. (Dropbox doesn’t have this
requirement) If I leave it open I have had NO issues for several weeks now.

Thought I would bring this story home by relaying my results…..indeed I find
strange anomalies….
