I had to weigh in on this, John, as I have been following the Apple-IBM app
news, being in the mobile app space myself. The apps that IBM has been
developing in cooperation with Apple will not impact the average user that
much. These are all apps that leverage IBM’s strength in big data and large
corporations. None of the apps that has surfaced in this project have much to
offer the consumer and the small business owner.

I would be pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong, but they all seem to be
geared toward solutions that enable big companies to leverage large amounts of
data. That is, after all, the world that IBM lives in. IBM has never had much
to do with "the little people,” especially since they got out of the PC space.
I expect their efforts to only indirectly impact the common mobile device user.
