I have been out of the country and away from my main iMac for about seven weeks. During this time the machine was turned off (Shut Down) and unplugged. No external devices were connected to the iMac.
Now it won't start up. Plugged in and turned on via button on back: first get "happy" sound and the gray screen with the Apple logo but then just the swirling whatever. Then some while lettering on black (terminal?) but it isn't up long enough for me to read. Whole screen goes black. Then gray screen with message that "the computer has a problem with restart. Press any key or wait a few seconds." I pressed a key and got the gray screen with the apple logo back but no further until I got the circle with a line through it indicating "no go." Any suggestions? Anne Cartwright _______________________________________________ MacGroup mailing list [email protected] http://www.math.louisville.edu/mailman/listinfo/macgroup
