Lee's instructions helped and Safari works fine for a while then I'm back to where I was getting the http://shop.warningshop.info pop up warning.
Also a new one pop up from http://mypcbackitup.com which says "VIRUS FOUND The last website you visited has infected your Mac with a virus. Press OK to begin the repair process." And another one: Http://www.fixmymacnow.com "Please consider cleaning your Mac from junk." Also get a pop-up on desktop (upper right by Updates Available) saying "System Scan is recommended (Cancel or Start Scan). I'm beginning to think maybe I do have a virus. Running 10.8.4 Safari 6.2.3 Safari Security Preferences set to Block pop-up windows and the Enable JavaScript is not checked. Also Warn when visiting a fraudulent website and Allow Internet plug-ins: are checked. Maybe I need to upgrade my Mac OS But concerned if this will get rid of my problems. or give me more. Any suggestions? Anne Cartwright
