How lovely, a new MacBook. I am also interested in the answer to your question as I am trying to use OpenOffice and some of the others you mention. OpenOffice will not let me use the database module because I am lacking some software, but I can't remember what. Oh yeah, Jave something or other. Really need a database package please.
