Nope. It is about control. There is no way that Apple should weaken the security for the phone for anyone. What happens when they let the FBI in, and then China insists on a back door? Or any other country that might have motives that are not quite as pure as the driven snow? Talk about opening up Pandora’s box. That means that nothing will be secure ever again. Least of all the poor victim: the powerless honest consumer.
