Q:Safari has been hacked on my iPad. Pop-up redirects me to site to pay to fix problem

WWas on Facebook being redirected to another site when a pop-up took control of my Safari on my iPad. It reads:https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com
system alert. Eventually, I was direct to call a #where the person said they were authorized by different companies, including Apple, to diagnose and repair infected computers For $250.00. HELP

iPad Mini, iOS 7.1.1

I Hope you didn't pay them. It's a scam.  

 

Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data. Close Safari by double tapping the home button and swipe up on the Safari preview. Tap the home button and force restart the iPad. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
