Tom, In Mail’s “Window” menu there is a “Previous Recipients” item. If you click on that you will see the names, email addresses and when they were last used of all the previous recipients of your emails. You can delete any that are no longer in use. I’m not sure if that will purge old group addresses, but it’s worth a try.
