Pen, most likely it was AT&T. They are really working hard to be the fiber
provider to Louisville ahead of Google. Google is supposed to be starting their
rollout in the west end, so if you live there it MIGHT be Google, but with all
the work I see AT&T doing around time, my bet is that it’s them.

They (AT&T) put fiber in my neighborhood and I love it. After several months of
relegating my TimeWarner to second fiddle on my dual-WAN router, I cancelled
that service. That’s $80 a month I can spend on other toys.

The AT&T is awesome! I get between 400 and 500 mbps download and consistently
900 mbps upload. Nobody can tell me why my upload it so much faster than my
download (or why my download is only half of what I am supposed to be getting),
but AT&T says that is within their parameters. Since I run a variety of servers
on my network, the fast upload means that someone can run a FileMaker app off
my server at the full capability of their own download speeds.

AT&T usually starts you off with a promotion, so in my case, my fiber actually
cost less that that pitiful excuse for internet they had me on before (that I
hardly used because TWC was the better service, then). That was a very easy
decision to make.
