I have a MacBook Pro with four ports, so I’m not as constrained. But, I am
acquiring a bag full of dongles that all work well. They include:

An Anker hub for about $30 that has three USB 3.0 and a gigabit Ethernet port.

A Lanbo USB-C video adaptor with both HDMI and VGA ports. It will supposedly
drive two monitors at once, but I’ve not tried that.

I like the tiny one-piece Aukey USB-C to USB 3.0 adaptors. They come in
two-packs for about $10. I keep them on the ends older USB things I use a lot,
like an iPhone cable and a 128 GB flash drive I use to back up some stuff.

An acquaintance has a Minix Neo C, which is a really nice dongle. It plugs into
USB-C and has Ethernet, two USB 3.0 ports, both sizes of card ports and a USB-C
port that supports charging. If I’d seen it, I’d have gotten it instead of my
Anker hub.
