I have a friend whose 2011 MacBook Pro went kapluie! He’s looking at refurbished, 13”, 2017 MacBook Pros that are within his price range.
1. 2.0 gHz processor with 16gb ram 2. 2.9 gHz processor with 8gb ram (cannot add ram to this machine) Both computers have 512gb solid state hard drives. He primarily uses Illustrator. Secondarily he uses Premier (a video editing program) and photoshop. Occasionally he uses After Affects. He asked which machine I thought would be better for him. I think, since the programs are ram intensive, he should go with the slower processor and more ram but I’m not sure so I’m turning to you guys. I suggested he also look for a slightly older machine with a processor faster than 2.0 gHz and maximum ram. Please chime in and happy holidaze to all.
