Lee, I only use DropBox from a Browser, I had logged in & the file was not
there. Everything else was, not the Excel file I was working on. I had just
put a copy on iCloud, waited for it to complete, went to Safari, then DropBox.
Deleted the existing Excel file & put the latest version in my files folder.
Once it was done returning to Excel it was frozen. Force quit Excel & EVERY
file I had was deleted.

My error was not quitting Excel before sending copies to the cloud, somehow
with the program being open all locations appear to have been linked & force
quit wiped out all of them. In the past I always closed the file before doing
the backups. It’s the only thing I can think.

John.
