Lee,

I’ll say the presenter of the program yesterday doesn’t seem to mind my
continual questions so this morning he sent me this.

Is this something completely different than using the “guest” side of the
router? Is it a bear to set up? You know anything about it?

I’m also very grateful for your allowing all the questions going your way as
well.

John

Jim’s reply:

If you are concerned about the thermostats, you can absolutely segment your
network and add a VLAN for the thermostats that only allows them access to the
internet with a 1 way trust that will allow you access to the thermostats but
won’t allow traffic to be initiated from the thermostats into the rest of your
network.
