I only use DropBox for an additional backup of daily data..

Of late the Web based version would not allow me to log in, it didn’t reject my
info. it just would not open to my files.

There was also a note to begin using their Application rather than the URL to
access my files.

I downloaded and began using, it’s pretty slick, so slick I wanted to ask how
does it work.

I change out two files a day, one is small, the other grows with time,
currently about 140 meg.

When downloading to the URL, as when downloading to iCloud, the time to copy
the larger file was a couple minutes.

Now with the App, I delete the older file and I can no longer drag the new file
into Dropbox holding down the Option Key, I have to first duplicate the file
and then drag the carbon…that’s not a problem.

My question is the speed with which these files appear to be copied. No bar to
see the progression, once I drag the file into Dropbox it appears,
instantaneous…. Done…over..before I hardly release the keypad.

What are they doing, are they creating and storing an image on their servers?
It just can’t be that the larger file especially is instantly on the DropBox
servers.
