When Apple began ApplePay, CVS, Target and Best Buy combined to offer their own payment system, vowing to never use ApplePay…
Target, CVS, Best Buy all now accept ApplePay….the walls crumble as society has shown they want the security only Apple provides… We went with the children to Destin, then we drove to Williamsburg. During the two weeks close to 90% where we shopped accepted ApplePay, at least 50% of the time the attendant had no idea, I had to teach them…so ask, you will be amazed. Second, I’m often late to the game but did you know if you hold your iPhone close to a HomePod whatever is playing on the HomePod will transfer to the iPhone! So, if your are on a Podcast and you have to leave, don’t skip a beat, transfer to your phone and be on your way. Finally, do we really want Google listening to us? Our every conversation? What will they do with this info.? My son and grandson were in the living room discussing the movie Midway…they were debating and in the kitchen, several feet away was Alexa, listening…she/he joined in the conversation to give them the answer…they had not summonedAlexa, they weren’t talking in loud voices….the machine graciously offered help. Really! I had a worker at the house working on the electric…he said one night he got a call from his boss telling him to unplug Alexa, do it NOW…it seems all this contacts were now listening to he and his wife’s conversation…. Really? Security is worth the Apple premium! Assume you are planning the next Great Train Robbery, Alexa is listening…what will it do? Offer help? Contact the authorities. Tell your wife about the other woman…call the boss when you have taken the Postage from the office? Lots to think about.
